State government has dedicated $ 400,000 for nonprofit groups that stage #8220;community-scale #8221; projects to conserve energy. Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman said this Community Conservation Challenge will make grants from $ 50,000 to $ 100,000 to nonprofit groups for energy efficiency projects. Applications are due by Oct. 1.
