New Site Features Scholarship and Educational Opportunities for Latin America and the Caribbean

Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas launched a new website for students, partners and affiliates interested in learning more about its educational programs and services. LASPAU is the premier organization dedicated solely to advancing higher education in the Americas. An affiliate of Harvard University, LASPAU works with world class educators and researchers in a variety of fields. The organization’s new website, located at http://www.laspau.harvard.edu, is part of an ongoing effort to expand educational opportunities in Latin America and the Caribbean.
LASPAU’s executive director, Ambassador Peter DeShazo, says “We are pleased to be launching a new website that will provide more comprehensive information and resources to students and partners throughout the world. The new website is more user-friendly, provides valuable information and showcases LASPAU’s efforts to strengthen higher education in the region.”
The new website, provides a streamlined resource to a variety of audiences. Individuals from Latin America and the Caribbean who are seeking scholarships for university study can now more easily find a variety of funding opportunities in one central location. Likewise, partner organizations will also have instant access to LASPAU’s offering of educational services including scholarship management, testing and evaluation and teaching and learning programs. Highlights from LASPAU’s recent programs for the education, business and public sectors through the Initiative for the Development of Academic Innovation (IDIA) are also featured on the site through program reports, videos and testimonials.
LASPAU’s efforts are guided by the vision that quality academic preparation and training should be available throughout society in Latin America and the Caribbean. Key to those efforts is the ability to make information about educational opportunities accessible and understandable.
